Getting Paid to Shop at CVS

This combination of bonus pack deals and $5 off $20 coupon has got me in a serious conundrum. I really need the Softsoap antibacterial and Nature's Bounty vitamins - but I've been racking my brain to come up with the best combination of purchases so that I make the most profit? That's right...there are so many freebies or close to freebies in the bonus pack deals (with high limits) that CVS has been paying me to shop all week!

The highest profit scenario that I came up with is this one from yesterday:

  • 2 Nature's Bounty Your Life Multi 90 ct, buy one at $9.99 and get one FREE
  • Crave-NX diet spray, $7.99
  • L'oreal Lip Juice lip gloss, clearanced at $2.12
  • Used two $5.00 printable coupons for Nature's Bounty
  • Used one $3.00 coupon for L'oreal makeup product from the 1/3 RP
This beeped, but cashier pushed it through at full value even though I told her she would probably have to mark it down to $2.12. That extra $0.88 overage brought my total down.
  • Used $5.00 off $20.00 printable coupon
Total was $2.10 + tax, used $2.00 ECB and rest on gift card and got back $11.00 in ECB = $8.90 profit!

The limit on the CraveNX has been confirmed to be 8 and the limit on the Nature's Bounty is 6, so you could do this 6 times for almost $50 profit! This is a great way to build your Extra Care Bucks with very low "out of pocket" if you're just getting started. If you don't have the L'oreal coupons, your profit will be a little less.

(TIP: On the second transaction, add a "Green Bag tag" for $0.99 to push your OOP over $3.00 and then use the $3.00 ECB from the first transaction to pay. You'll only owe a little bit of change! Then don't forget to have the cashier scan your green bag tag on every purchase - on every 4th one, you'll get another $1.00 ECB on your receipt!)

If you came up with some good moneymaking scenarios, I'd like to hear about them!
