FRAUDULENT: Kmart $10 off $20 Coupon

Kmart has yanked this coupon off of their website and it is now beeping if you attempt to use it. Apparently, it was intended for use by one customer and got "leaked" to the Internet. Bummer!

FYI, Kmart and Sears both have a history of releasing these PDF coupons and then renegging on their use later when they get to be too popular. I don't think that's what happened here but, if it is, shame on them. I think that, if you release a coupon, you should honor it.

I'm not sure if it's just my area-but I called Kmart corporate around 2pm EST today and they said this coupon works fine and was good for stores listed. So I called my store manager and he said the coupon works fine. Perhaps this is a mileage may very. Have a great day!

*laugh* Why am I surprised to hear that KMart is giving out conflicting information? If they told you that, then you have a clear conscience. It's an awesome Q so I hope you use it to get some awesome deals!

Here's a link to the revised coupon: I guess it was only supposed to be valid for Chicago and not ALL stores.

that's such crap. they posted it as a PDF on thier website, not as an email specific bricks coupon. there were also different versions of it targeted to different markets, not just chicago. the one I have for instance, says NY.

fraudulent is a strong word to use b/c it implies someone created or altered the coupon from what Kmart posted.....which is not at all what happened. Kmart pulling the coupon DOES NOT equal coupon fraud on the part of the consumer.
