Protect Your Identity with FREE Shredding Event Tomorrow

I don't know about you, but I have been on a serious cleaning binge since the weather is getting nicer. Time to clean out those closets, that scary basement and that crap that's been in that drawer for years. You know which drawer I'm talking about -- everybody has one of those!

But you want to be careful about just pitching sensitive information (like old tax documents) in the trash because it could be used to steal your identity. If you don't own a good cross-cut shredded (no, folks, strip shredders don't cut it), then here's an event that might help out:

Community America and local KC company Shred-It have teamed up and offering to shred up to 3 boxes of your old documents for FREE tomorrow (April 3rd). The event runs from 8 a.m. to noon at the following locations (see official flyer):

  • 5400 NE Antioch Rd, Kansas City, MO
  • 11510 Blue Ridge Blvd, Kansas City, MO
  • 5601 W. 95th Street, Overland Park, KS
  • 3100 S. Mo Rte 291, Independence, MO
  • 13590 S. Blackbob Rd, Olathe, KS
Donations are also being accepted for Junior Achievement of Middle America. I'm very familiar with Shred-It and can add that the paper will be recycled responsibly once it is shredded.
